CHILD SAFETY STANDARDS

1. Zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content, message or behaviour that sexualises a minor are prohibited without exception, whatever the context. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Creating, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material in any format, whether photographic, drawn or computer-generated.
• Grooming: building trust with a minor in order to sexually exploit them.
• Sextortion: threatening to publish intimate images in order to obtain money, further images or sexual contact.
• Sexualising a minor in text, images, a display name, a profile field or a conversation.
• Trafficking a minor, or advertising or soliciting sexual contact with a minor.
• Any attempt by a person under 18 to create or use an account.

2. Age requirement and how we enforce it

OnlyMens is restricted to people aged 18 and over. Everyone gives a date of birth at sign-up and registrations below the age requirement are refused. Our app store listings carry an adult content rating.

Identity verification is central to this. Men must pass a selfie and liveness check before their profile can be listed; women must pass the same check before they can send their first message. Verification is assisted by automated face matching (AWS Rekognition) and every unclear case is reviewed by a person on our team.

If we have reason to believe an account belongs to someone under 18 — from a report, a moderation signal or the verification record — we suspend the account immediately pending review, and delete it if the suspicion is confirmed. The related content is removed and the person is prevented from registering again.

3. Reporting a child safety concern

Every profile, every photo and every conversation carries a Report action. Reports that concern a minor or a child safety issue are moved to the front of the moderation queue and are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team, never by automated systems alone.

You do not need an account to reach us: anyone can report a concern by e-mail to [email protected]. We aim to act on child safety reports within 24 hours and never disclose a reporter's identity to the person they reported.

4. Enforcement

When we find child sexual abuse or exploitation on the service:

• The content is removed from the service immediately.
• The account is banned permanently and any linked accounts are closed.
• The relevant records are preserved securely for the period required by law so that they remain available to investigators.
• Apparent child sexual abuse material is reported to the appropriate authorities and organisations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States, the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) in the United Kingdom, and local law enforcement.

5. Legal compliance

We comply with the applicable child safety laws of the jurisdictions in which we operate, including the United Kingdom's Online Safety Act 2023 and, for users in the United States, the reporting obligations of 18 U.S.C. § 2258A as amended by the REPORT Act. We respond to lawful requests from law enforcement and cooperate with investigations.

We also follow the child safety requirements of the app stores that distribute OnlyMens, including Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.

6. Protection by design

The product itself limits the risk. Men cannot list, search or discover women's profiles: only a woman can start a conversation, and a man sees only the person who wrote to him, so approaching users at scale — the pattern grooming depends on — is not possible here.

Unverified accounts are further restricted, sexual content is not allowed in profiles or opening messages, and block and report controls are available throughout the product.
